OTHER COMMITTEES AT
OUR LADY OF VICTORIES PARISH COMMUNITY
The PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL is not the only involvement of the Christian Laity in the running of the Parish. The Parish Council is only the main organizing body. The aim is to include as many Parish members as possible.
Other Committees have been established to help in the running of the Parish:
The Finance Committee; The Liturgy Committee; Children's Mass Group; Parish Catechists; Parish Sacramenatal Programme Committee; The Function Committee; Hospitality Group; The Social Group and Friends; Crafts Group; Ladies' Faith and Support group; The Good Friday Committee; The Parish Feast Committee; The Raffle Committee.The parish also enjoys the services of two Acolytes, a big number of Ministers of Communion, Ministers who visit the sick, Carers, Ministers of the Word (readers), Altar Servers, Children's Liturgy leaders, Cathecists, Sacrament Programme Team, Ushers / counters, Church cleaners and musicians.
The Finance Committee

Terms of ReferenceThe first committee to be established by the Parish Pastoral Council was a Finance Committee to look into the Parish finances and to help in financial matters.

The Liturgy Committee
(established November 1999)
Terms of ReferenceLiturgy is a very important aspect in the life of a worshiping community. This means that it has to be well prepared for and organised. For this purpose a committee has been established in the beginning of November 1999 to look after the preparation and animation of all our parish liturgical celebrations. The Parish Liturgy Committee has the duty to prepare the environment - the Church itself - but also see that ministers who are asked to help in the celebrations are well prepared.

This committee has been set up to organise activites for parishioners who need a venue to meet other people and develop relationships. Anyone is most welcome to attend to activities organised by this committee.

Good Friday in our Parish is also associated with a paegent which takes the form of a procession with eight statues representing the passion of Christ. This annual event requires planning. A committee looks after the running of this event.
